CITB
This is one organisation mandated with offering construction training to South Australian workers working under construction departments. Its fee is mostly project owner initiated. Meaning that project owner gets to pay full amount for a course to be offered. Project owners are defined as individuals who benefit after construction is completed.
Most of the time, a project owner produces an amount equivalent to 25% of his or her project cost. This money is then banked and used for training the workers expected to work in that given construction site. The main mandate of CITB is to act as a link between South Australian construction skills board, and the workers, by managing its training fund. It is also given the task of providing details on training duration and expected amount to be used. Its training plan is usually out by June every year. Interested project owners are then welcomed to provide their proposal in regards to the proposed budget.
CITB provides its training for a wide range of audiences. For instant, there is training program specifically tailored to target un-aware individuals. Most of the time, these individuals are employees of a given construction firm. CITB works together with their employers to see to it that his or her construction workers get additional knowledge as far as construction is concerned. There are also courses designed for fresh students straight from high schools. It is a way of enticing them to construction industry.
CITB ensures that, construction workers get necessary training that put them in competition ladders as far as construction is concerned. It will be very hard to work in any field if a person does not understand deeply how that specific industry works. All these can be achieved through proper training. For South Australia residents, they do not have to worry about construction courses, thanks to CITB.
